Somerset-based CFH opted for the Nuvera mono engine in order to increase its capability when producing transactional print documents.

At the end of 2009, the company won a three-year contract worth £12m to install its Corporate DocMail system at recruitment company Hays. As part of which, the document management and hybrid mail system will handle more than 9m envelopes each year.

Dave Broadway, managing director at CFH, said: "The Nuvera 288 is one of the fastest cut-sheet presses on the market and will sit at the top end of our digital mono fleet.

"The extremely high quality of image it produces, and its advanced personalisation capability, meets our short- to medium-run requirements perfectly for transactional and transpromo print and, in particular, for our rapidly growing DocMail hybrid mail service."   

The equipment spend expands the Radstock-based mailing company's digital print portfolio and comes little more than a year after the printer "more than doubled" its colour digital print capacity after taking delivery of two Xerox iGen4 presses.

The machines were the third and fourth to be installed in the UK and were part of a £1.2m investment to help the company to grow its personalisation workload.
