Staff and machines are moving across to the east Midlands plant all employees, apart from two, have transferred to Leicester, according to Celloglas.
The company has also changed its name at Companies House to Celloglas, from Newcelloco. The original Celloglas went into administration on 5 January. Five sites were sold to Newcelloco, a company set up by two Celloglas directors, three days later.
According to Celloglas, the move will see its Leicester facility come in line with its Reading and Seacross Leeds sites.
Jennifer Deacon, marketing manager at Celloglas, said: "At Reading and Leeds we can do everything, but Leicester didn't have foiling and work would take longer to get out.
"Moving Foilworks to Leicester makes sense. We have a strong local market, we can offer a wider service locally because we have everything under one roof.
"At Birmingham we didn't have many local customers because it was more of a specialist site."
Deacon added that phone lines would be switched to the Leicester site this weekend, and that all but one machine had already been moved to the new site.
Celloglas now has two facilities in Leeds, one in Leicester and one in Reading. When it went into administration, four sites, Poole, Gloucester, London and a second Birmingham facility, were closed, with two sites, Bristol and Manchester, sold to rival finisher Best Cover UV.
