The Carlisle-based printing business has managed to capitalise on the recession by growing the amount of digitally printed marketing materials it produces – something it plans to continue doing with the new machine.
Director Derek House said despite difficult trading conditions, the 14-staffed company was now "busier than ever" and planned to build upon its £500,000 turnover.
He said: "We can really benefit from the increased volume and quality the new Konica Minolta gives us. It allows us to hit the higher-end quality requirements."
Established in 1995, the printer serves nearly 2,500 customers across the UK with 30% of that being trade work and the majority for local clients.
With the new digital printer installed, House now plans to grow the company’s web-to-print offer and place a greater emphasis on its online presence.
"Customers are rethinking their marketing spend and more and more, people are looking to online for faster turnaround times," he said.
