The iPF820 model was recognised for its ability to fulfil applications for both the technical and graphic arts sectors with a 'Pick' award.
BLI said it also acknowledged that the imagePrograf's economy mode was around 50% more productive than rival machines.
The printer, a model in a range of large-format imagePrografs, is designed for architectural and construction-related applications.
It is targeted at companies carrying out mid- to high-volume colour technical document work and features a single input roll configuration.
David Sweetnam, BLI European lab and research manager, said the imagePrograf iPF820 "displayed very good print quality across a wide-range of applications", from maps and architectural plans, to photograph printing.
