Canon rethinks Europe graphic arts exposure

Canon Europe is expanding its graphic arts market to include commercial printers following consultation with more than 1,000 printers and their customers.

It has also reorganised its country, European and worldwide structure to focus on professional printing.

This is a new philosophy, said Ian Caveny, manager marketing communications, Canon Europe. The people who led this were our customers.

Providing sales and marketing assistance to customers will be key; as pioneered in the UK with the Essential Business Builder pack (PrintWeek, 13 November 2003).

Print Job Manager, a web-based job submission ASP service will be launched in February. It is based on EFI (formerly T/R Systems) Digital Storefront software.
