Rajeev Tiwari, director, wide-format imaging division for Canon India said: "Arizona 360 GT is a high speed wide-format production printer using UV curable inks and Océ VarioDot imaging technology for delivering photographic quality printing." The variodot technology uses greyscale heads to vary the dots from 6pl to 42pl. "The printer is capable to fine print upto 2pt of refined legibility," added Tiwari.
Alok Bhardwaj, senior vice president Canon India said: "Digital innovative technologies are changing the trends and shaping the future the of graphic art industry. Diverse applications of Arizona true flatbed UV printing technology open up newer avenues of innovation in display graphics."
"Market response has been encouraging since Océ integration in January 2011. Océ products are strong on technology and functionality. Canon is all geared to widen its customer base for wide format graphics UV flatbed applications. By end of 2012 we hope to have 12 customers of Arizona range," added Bhadrawaj.
Arizona 360 GT has white ink technology capable of printing on colour media like MDF, tiles and ACP. Sources at Canon claim a low ink consumption of 50% less than the six-colour drop systems. The printer uses lenticular printing with capability to handle various rigid and flexible media with optional capability of upgrading to roll media, making it highly flexible for applications.
"The Arizona will empower innovative applications for comprehensive retail requirements along with architects and builders, professional photographers, PSP’s, signage makers and construction companies," concluded Tiwari.
Canon launches Océ Arizona 360 GT in India
Canon India launched Océ Arizona 360 GT wide-format UV cured flatbed printer at India Sign + Digital 2011 held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 13-15 May 2011.
