Canon India among Top 25 Best Employers in India

In a study conducted by Aon Hewitt, Canon India has been recognised as one of the best employers in India 2011. The study was done for the seventh time in India in partnership with the Wall Street Journal, Asia.

Canon was felicitated with the award at a ceremony on 29 April 2011 along with other prominent organisations in the list like HULL, LG, Godrej, Maruti Suzuki, Ford, Cognizant, Dr Reddy's Lab, Kotak, and NTPC among others.

The consecutive recognition is a confirmation and continuous check of our endeavours towards benchmarking our HR processes with the best in the country."

The India study is part of the APAC Best Employers in 2011 study spanning 11 markets including Australia/New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Middle East, Singapore and Thailand. was an extensive nationwide survey.

According to Aon Hewitt, 200 companies from various industry segments like: banking and financial services, manufacturing, information technology, telecom, hospitality, FMCG and pharmaceuticals registered for the study. The study received opinions from more than 40,000 employees from India.

A five member panel of judges evaluated masked inputs to select the 25 Aon Hewitt Best Employers in India. The jury members compromised of VS Mahesh, managing director of VSM Consulting; Meher Pudumjee, chairperson Thermax; Bhaskar Chatterjee from ministry of heavy industries and public enterprises; Prof Shyamal Roy, board of governors, IIM and N Mahalakshmi, editor of Outlook magazine.
