The new company, which has been formed to propel the adoption of the Infigo suite of products, will be headed up by former Infigo product manager Douglas Gibson.
Gibson, who will be joined by a five-strong team, said the move would allow Infigo to go after a "much larger marketplace".
"The new company brings greater autonomy," he said. "We can open up new routes to market, develop relationships with a wider range of resellers and ensure that Infigo achieves greater exposure to a much wider market in the fastest possible time."
Gibson added that Infigo Software was looking to grow its client base, currently consisting of 60 printers, by around 40 printers per year for its web-to-print products, while it also planning on launching a variable data tool in the new year.
Gibson said that the variable data software would be an entry-level DirectSmile-type tool aimed at both printers and corporate clients.
Infigo Software will hold the exclusive UK and Ireland distribution rights for Infigo Web2print, Infigo Retail e-store, and Infigo Targeted Marketing, while Bytes Document Solutions will become an authorised reseller.
