Six engines from the Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Crete Hall Road site at 10.30am after a fire was reported on the mill’s second floor.
Thirty firefighters contained the blaze and had left the scene by 1.40pm, the Kent Fire and Rescue Service confirmed.
A Kimberly-Clark spokeswoman said: “We can confirm we did experience a small fire in an area of our Northfleet manufacturing mill.
“There were no injuries or damage to the building. As part of our standard safety procedures for the mill, six engines from the local fire emergency services attended the scene.”
A joint investigation into the cause of the fire will be carried out by the fire service and Kimberly-Clark at a later date.
