The Burlington Press (Cambridge) has been acquired in an MBI by Andrew Tooke, his brother Richard, and Jack Lindop.


"It is our plan to introduce new products and services to both existing and new customers," said Tooke.


The three are all former employees of Leicestershire-based William Caple & Co - the Adare-owned printer of catalogues, brochures and financial reports.


Former Burlington owner Paul Ridgeon will retain an involvement with the company by taking on the role of non-executive chairman.


"The team's vision for the future covers broader horizons than mine," said Ridgeon.


Burlington specialises in the books, periodicals and printing services sector, and employs nearly 100 people.


Last year it had sales of 5.3m, and, according to its latest accounts, a net worth in the region of 1.88m.


The new team plans to work closely with existing management and staff to develop new markets and services from its 6,000m2 base south of Cambridge.


"We will outline our business plan with the staff and customers first," said Tooke, "But it's all good news."
