Edotech won BT's 50m print and despatch contract in March (PrintWeek, 12 April), taking over two of its sites in Milton Keynes and Gateshead, 120 staff and its printing equipment. The deal is expected to save BT 25m over five years.
Savings have already been made on process and procurement costs and it now delivers all of BT's household bills on time.
Edotech commercial director James Shand said his firm had a true business partnership with BT, which it hoped to build on: "So far we've only touched on the billing aspect, but BT is a massive organisation with a number of outsourcing services that require print. We have a project lined up for early 2003."
Edotech was the in-house facility for Barclays Group before an MBO in 2000.
