The poppies were transported to Belgium and planted on the grass banks of the Menin Gate Memorial at Ypres to mark the 90th anniversary of the end of the war.
Each poppy carried a personal message from donors, who raised more than £2m for the scheme.
A team of 10 volunteers comprising members of staff from Brightsource, The Royal British Legion and the Legion's direct marketing agency, Tangible Response, planted the poppies on the morning of the 10 November.
Head of direct marketing and legacies Guy Upward said: "After six months of planning, the whole operation went very well.
"In spite of the weather trying to destroy our field of poppies, the end result looked fantastic and was a fitting tribute to the memory of those brave men that lost their lives more than 90 years ago."
