The six-colour UV press is the group's second Heidelberg machine with the other operating in Avallon, France.
"The CD 74 was the most appropriate machine for the purpose in this case," said Field Boxmore group project engineer Malcolm Exeter. "We produce high- quality UV packaging from this site and the new press will help us meet all existing requirements and create new opportunities."
Features on the press include the Prinect CP 2000 control centre, which is JDF compatible. It also has integrated DryStar UV and Instant Start blanket wash up.
Field Boxmore specialises in pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging with 2,500 employees across Europe.
