The purchase will create one of the largest print-on-demand businesses in the US, with combined revenues of approximately 80m.
Vestcom's marketing and business communications division has clients in the financial, insurance, travel and gaming industries. It provides data management, printing, fulfilment and distribution services.
The division will be integrated with Bowne Enterprise Solutions, and will operate under the name Bowne Marketing and Business Communications (BMBC).
The acquisition will expand BMBC's digital print capabilities for producing personalised print to financial services clients.
Bowne sold another of its subsidiaries, Bowne Business Solutions, to print management provider Williams Lea, in a 100m deal two years ago.
