Revenue for the quarter was up 64% on the same period last year, to 75.3m ($134.3m). GAAP net income was at 7m compared to a 2005 Q1 loss of 393,000.
"We are pleased to report results at the higher end of our range, driven by solid performance in all three areas of our business," said EFI chief executive Guy Gecht. "At the same time, we also showed continued progress in growing our recurring revenues, largely due to a record ink revenue quarter."
He added: "We expect a robust level of new product introductions in 2006."
EFI's 2005 year-end sales figure was 264m, although it posted a pre-tax loss of 1.8m.
