The machine replaced the London-based company’s 20-year-old Perfecta 115 SEYPA guillotine.
Blackhammer managing director Mark Cain said: "Our old one was knackered, basically. But it was such a reliable machine that we knew the more recent system would be ideal."
Cain said that the machine has not brought in new work yet, but has saved time and money for the company. "We are saving on overtime and working through jobs quicker, so there is more time to fulfil extra work," he said.
The London-based company also plans to invest in a KBA Rapida 105 six-colour press later this year.
Cain said that the addition of the new press, along with the guillotine and a recent investment in a Horizon StitchLiner could triple the company's productivity. He added: "I am very focused on the KBA for now as it is a big install for us. Watch this space."
