The Stamford, Lincolnshire-based B2 printer said it had boosted efficiencies without increasing overheads as a result of the press investment and site consolidation.
Owner and managing director Robert Sandall said that he had been interested in buying a 784E since he saw it at IPEX 2006.
He told PrintWeek: "We were paying for two units and the investment in the smaller machine has allowed us to move into the one unit. It was a case of balancing our overheads."
The Ryobi 784E is a "compact press" which is described by Apex as "small in terms of footprint, and large in terms of features".
Sandall said that Apex had "looked after us tremendously"; the pre-press and press supplier took the company's 20 year old press in part exchange for the new machine.
