Bezier has developed an on-line print procurement system for Asda, which will be rolled out to its stores later this month.
The system has been beta tested at the supermarket giant's Bradford store for the past few months, with further stores now involved in the trials.
Bezier sales director for the Asda account Ian Carnazza said the trial stores had already reported significant savings in time and cost. "A drop in order queries to our helpline is also evidence of an improved service to stores," he said.
It will allow staff responsible for point-of-purchase material to log onto an online catalogue, where print can be viewed and ordered.
Once an order is placed, the system activates an automatic pick list within the bezier/Asda library, which is then collated and despatched to the store within 24 hours.
Stores can search for specific items, check stock availability and then order the POP required.
The system is part of bezier's b3 range of services, which include tailor made on-line packages to help brands and retailers manage their in-store media.
