Mel Conway, who has worked at Calne, Wiltshire-based Bex Design & Print for over 20 years, has been promoted to managing director.
Ed Giles, who has been with the company for 14 years, has taken on the role of sales manager, having been promoted from his role as lead senior sales engineer, while Steve Murphy has become the new head of production after over 15 years at Bex, having previously been its lead graphic designer.
The circa 40-staff company, which was acquired by engineering and manufacturing specialist Amcomri Group last year, provides industrial print and design services to a wide range of businesses in industries including electric vehicle (EV) charging, public transport, healthcare, and traffic management.
The business was originally known as Serobex and was founded in 1987 with two staff. It moved to its current premises in 1995, at which point it rebranded as Bex Design & Print.
In 2005, Ian Board became managing director and under his management the company continually invested in new kit and became a key supplier to a wide range of markets and sectors.
It has experienced recent growth and also last year reached a major milestone in its work to help create EV charging stations for the UK and Europe, producing components for its 500,000th EV charging station.
Board, chairman of the board and former managing director at Bex Design & Print, said: “I am extremely proud to announce our new management team at Bex Design & Print.
“Mel, Ed and Steve are a credit to the company, and they have thoroughly earned their promotions. They have combined experience of around 50 years working at Bex, and they bring their immense experience and knowledge to their new roles.
“I cannot wait to see the successes they will undoubtedly have in the new positions, and I have no doubt that our colleagues and clients alike will continue to enjoy excellent relationships with them.
“Bex is growing as a company and, with our new management team now in place, there are exciting times ahead.”
New managing director Mel Conway said: “Having been at Bex for 20 years, I am honoured to be leading the team in this new chapter.
“Over my years with Bex I have gained lots of experience in various roles and gained an extensive knowledge of our processes and procedures through my role as the internal ISO auditor. I hope to use my knowledge and experience to continue the growth and success of Bex Design & Print in the future.
“We never stand still and continue to invest in new technologies so there is always something new that we can offer to clients. We strive to produce excellent quality products and proudly maintain our reputation within the industry.
“A big part of our success is our loyal staff – we have good staff retention and that brings with it lots of knowledge and skills within the factory enabling our output to be of the highest standard.
“Bex evolves with the times and I am proud that every year is a bit different from one year to the next. I’m looking forward to developing with the company even further in this new role.”
Bex Design & Print runs Inktec Jetrix and Mimaki printers, among other kit.
