Despite its commercial focus on coatings, the company, which has locations in Leeds and Romford, has expanded into an area many finishing companies are currently looking to move away from.
Best Cover has bought two MBO folders, a Muller Martini six-station Prima stitcher with five-knife trim and a used Palamides binder.
According to managing director Darren Crake, the investment will allow the company to move into new areas and improve its service for customers.
He said: "This investment will complement our current services. It may be simpler stuff than what we are doing but it complements the more complicated work that we are doing.
"With transport costs escalating, it makes sense to do everything in-house; we can save our customers costs by having everything handled on one site."
Best Cover UV specialises in lamination and other specialised coating techniques, using a Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102.
The company has also recently expanded its techniques even further, thanks to a break through on its Heidelberg machine.
Crake added: "In partnership with one of our suppliers we have developed the ability to do latex scratch-off on our Heidelberg, which previously could not be done. It is a good in-road with customers and it is opening further doors for us."
