"We had booked two machines at one go. We installed the first one as soon as we received the delivery, but could not do so for the second because the site for the second installation wasn’t ready," said Naveen Kumar, partner of the digital print firm.
The digital print firm, which specialises in designing; corporate promotional and commercial printing; and signage services, was established in 2009 by Kumar and his brother, Pradeep.
"The demand for digital prints has been increasing by the day, and there was a need for us to expand," said Kumar. "We opted to spread our reach in Bengaluru and therefore, spaced our sites and placed the machines accordingly." The firm now operates from MG Road, Indranagar and Jayanagar in Bengaluru.
Kumar opted for Ricoh after seeing the C720 in action at PrintPack India 2011 show and at two Ricoh customer locations in Chennai and Delhi. "The C720 has helped us to deliver quality products to our corporate clients and we plan to increase our digital production three folds – from 2,000 copies per day to 6,000 copies per day, now that we have both the new machines in place."
Kumar’s family has been into the business of newspaper printing for the last 15 years. An engineer by profession, Kumar’s next plan is to diversify into commercial print segment. "That’s our next target," concluded Kumar.
