Bell and Bain installs Stahlfolder TD 112

Book printer Bell and Bain has installed a Stahlfolder TD 112, increasing productivity in its folding department by up to 35%.

The machine, which is being installed this month, replaces a 14-year-old folder and managing director Ian Walker said it would "definitely" bring a return on investment.

According to the Glasgow-based company, it made the purchase based on the speed of the machine rather than makeready times.

The installation comes less than a year after Bell and Bain added a Polar 155XT, which it bought at Ipex.

Dating back to 1831, Bell & Bain prints books and journals. It currently employs 80 staff.
