The company, part of the Pureprint Group, is aiming to grow its profile in the area with the new office, which is headed up by Mark Pryde.
Richard Osborne, managing director at Beacon press, said: "Beacon Press is well positioned to service the vibrant design and arts markets in the region, as well as the wider business community, having done this effectively for many years in the London market."
He added: "We have been working with some of the leading agencies and corporates based in Edinburgh for a number of years now and we wanted to grow our profile further."
Last year, Beacon Press picked up a brace of accolades at the PrintWeek awards, which included the 'Fine Art Printer of the Year' prize.
The company, which was also named the UK's most environmental printer in The Sunday Times Green List, produces work for design agencies, charities and the fine art and photography markets.
Osborne said: "Setting up an office in the city seemed a logical next step and we intend to increase our presence in Glasgow and the north of England as well."
