BDL wins 4m First Choice print managment deal

BDL Print Group has secured a two year contract with First Choice Holidays, worth between 1m and 2m per year, to manage its print and related services.

The Kent-based print management firm will handle the majority of the holiday groups' print requirements, with the exception of brochure production.

"This contract provides an excellent platform for BDL to further develop its relationship with the First Choice Group," said BDL managing director Kevin Rowland.

Prior to the deal the firm had been working with First Choice on an ad-hoc basis for over 15 years. "We managed to show them that there were real savings to be had by going with a sole supplier," said sales and marketing director Shane Inger.

The firm will handle documentation, marketing (including direct mail), stationery and overseas print and other value-added services. It will also manage the holiday giant's inplant.

First Choice will also have access to BDL's online stock management system for print ordering. BDL will use its own roster of preferred suppliers for the work, and will also add First Choice's preferred printers to its list.

This latest win follows on from BDL winning a 2m Phones 4u print management contract in February, and deals with two of the groups' sister firms in July.
