Buckingham Colour Press (BCP) is offering its customers asset management and online poster printing following the installation of a Picdar digital asset management system.
Using Picdars Prisma web content management system for its online poster printing service, www.jollybig.com, allows BCP to completely automate all the pre-press needed to create the files to drive its Xerox DocuColor 100 press.
"Once the client has blessed their own proof we dont have to do anything," said managing director Richard Knowles. "We get PDFs in and just stack them up, were getting work from all over the world."
As well as the online poster printing service, BCP is using the asset management system to manage images, graphics and files from its own studio and for clients.
Currently it has three clients using the asset management service and is looking to expand it further as a new revenue stream for the business.
"We are delighted at Picdars ability to adapt a solution to our requirements," said Knowles. "With thousands of files being sent to us we needed a solution that could not only save time but be highly effective in the day-to-day running of the business."
