The new kit replaced an existing five-colour CD 74 at the Norfolk-based printer, which meant less production downtime than if it had moved the press.
Barnwell Print director Lincoln Barnwell said by buying a new press, "we were able to lose two days rather than two weeks' production".
The CD 74 features a Preset Plus feeder, which is expected to reduce makereadies and boost productivity at the 18-staff printer.
Barnwell told printweek.com: "Over the past 20 years, we've quadrupled our turnover and the new site will give us the scope to further build on the business."
The firm has also invested in a slew of finishing kit during the move, including a seven-station Muller Martini stitch and trimming line and a Heidelberg Polar guillotine.
Barnwell added: "It's now time to knuckle down as we're trying to stay ahead and remain competitive. The new site will hopefully let us do this".
The litho printer also runs a single-colour Heidelberg GTO and a single-colour MAN Roland press.
