Lawson who joins in a newly created post of client services director will work with existing client services director Dominic Harris, sharing responsibility for an international client services division of more than 100 staff, covering six countries.
BMC was created out of AccessPlus and the former BPO arm of The Print Factory (TPF) and DSR, which were acquired by office2office (o2o) in May 2008 and February 2010 respectively.
BMC’s managing director Catherine Burke said Lawson would have a "huge part to play in shaping and delivering BMC’s relentless client service ethos".
Before joining BMC Lawson worked for rival print management firm HH Global as client development manager.
Sue Lawson said: "It’s been impossible not to notice, and be very impressed by, the huge strides BMC has made over the past couple of years, so I jumped at the opportunity to join the team."
Earlier this year BMC picked up the procurement and PM contract for Carphone Warehouse from HH Global, in a minimum three-year deal with Best Buy Europe, a joint venture between Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy.
The contract was transferred from HH Global to BMC following a handover period in July. At the time o2o said the contract had been won on the basis of the group’s "open book model".
Meanwhile, earlier this week HH Global announced that it had won a £9m contract to provide print management services for the Post Office and boosted its digital services offering with the appointment of Chris Heap as digital media development director.
