Baber, formerly Kodak Polychrome Graphics UK managing director, was revealed as general manager of the Graphic Solutions and Services (GS&S) wing of Kodak's Graphic Communications Group (GCG) last week.
So far only Baber and former KPG deputy managing director Neil Yeomans, who becomes GS&S sales director, have formal roles within new structure. Baber is currently working out the structure of the rest of the team, which will include Creo, Encad, KPG and
NexPress staff.
"The opportunity to use those skills is too good to waste," said Baber. "I've got an outline, but that's all."
The division will be based around a team of account managers for each customer backed up by product specialists.
KPG's Watford headquarters will become the base for the new operation. Baber said it was too early to comment on any redundancies as a result of the new structure.
Creo's UK sales director Nigel Street will pursue other opportunities within Kodak.
Kodak has also revealed more details of the GS&S team for the Europe, Africa, Middle East region. Former Creo vice president of sales David Wigfield continues in that role at Kodak GS&S, while KPG Europe vice president of sales and marketing Stphane Livain continues with the same role at GS&S.
