This investment will enable students in India to enrol for the first time in specialised courses that include comprehensive industry-led advancements in innovation and self-adhesive technology.
As a part of the grant, courses in packaging, such as the graduate technology course in packaging and packaging management and the post graduate diploma in packaging science and technology, will now include a detailed curriculum in self-adhesive technology.
P V Narayanan, chair professor and advisor at the SIES School of Packaging, said he was delighted to partner with Avery Dennison, which is endowing a faculty chair position at the school.
He said: "We are sure that our current students and future aspirants will benefit immensely from the efforts undertaken by the Avery Dennison Foundation."
