Under the agreement Aura Papers will promote Acco brand print finishing solution products manufactured by GBC Asia. The range of products will include the entry level and high-end equipment, supplies for laminating, punching, binding and cutting machines.
"We are honoured by GBC’s faith in us to market their range of finishing equipment. This could well be a landmark moment in the history of Aura and we are confident of vindicating GBC’s confidence in us," said V Natarajan, managing director at Aura Papers.
He added: "In the first phase, Aura will focus on print finishing equipment for digital markets with laminating and binding equipment and supplies. We will make a gradual progress across the country with emphasis on training, inventory and sales. In the second phase of our operation and by the first quarter of next year, we will work with number of channel partners to reach out also to B- and C-tier cities.
The firm’s digital division manages MGI’s Meteor range of digital printers. Aura has so far installed seven MGi DP 40 Pros, one DP 60 Pro with two DP 60 Pros to be delivered soon.
Aura has offices and warehouses in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore and is expected to establish regional office in Chennai soon.
