Assembly completes major site move

Assembly Direct Mail is seeking to defy the current recession by upgrading to larger premises and taking on more staff.

The Essex-based printer has expanded its presence in the area by moving to a 1,395sqm premises from its previous 186sqm Eastgates residence, and has also taken on five new members of staff.

Joint managing directors Jamie Smith and Marc Smith anticipate the added capacity at the new site will help it attract new business.

"We've been taking on new work all the time and hopefully the extra space will help us continue to do that," Smith added.

Assembly, which employs around 80 staff, is also looking to add a 10-colour B2 press in the coming months as it aims to grow its £1.8m turnover.

The company serves clients in the print management, agency and local authority sectors.
