Artisan buys 48pp Sunday 4000

The Artisan Press, the Leicester-based brochure and catalogue printer, has continued its tradition of investment in Heidelberg kit by signing up for a 48pp Sunday 4000 press.

Installation will begin in November and commissioning is scheduled for next February.

The firm will also install a Muller Martini Tempo saddle-stitching line in October. Sections will be automatically stream fed directly into shrinkwrapping facilities and automatic palletising equipment.

Artisan already runs three 24pp Heidelberg M3000s, two 16pp M600s and a 48pp M850L.

It went CTP in November 2000 with a CreoScitex Lotem XL and it also runs finishing and personalisation operations.

The latest press will come with a PCC-2 pinless combination folder, Heidelberg Contiweb FMR 1460 type III splicer and a Heidelberg Contiweb 130-1460 dryer with integrated ecocool.
