The firm said the move to the new “state-of-the-art” 2,800sqm facility near junction 1a of the M25 had involved a multi-million pound investment.
Its London manufacturing operation was previously located in Lambeth. Arc has retained a central London presence with new offices at The Metal Box Factory on Great Guildford Street
Arc-UK Technologies is part of NYSE-listed Arc Document Solutions, which had turnover of $272.2m (£229m) last year and has operations in the US, Canada, China, India and the UAE.
The UK wing provides a range of services including small- and large-format printing, signage, building wraps and managed print solutions. The firm also offers scanning and archival services teamed with its own document management software.
Darren Moorhouse, head of sales for the UK and Europe said: “The amalgamation of digital printing services and document technology products has made us unusual and has brought about a steady increase in business especially with people needing to digitise their documentation post-pandemic. We like to be pioneers, not just in business but when it comes to making changes and improving our local community.”
Arc-UK Technologies currently employs 60 staff and plans to take on a further dozen as part of the expansion. The business had sales of just over £9m in the pandemic-impacted financial year ended 31 December 2020.
The new facility will be officially opened tomorrow (29 April) at an event attended by clients and the Mayor of Dartford, councillor Rosanna Currans.
The unit features a creative space ‘leisure floor’ for use by employees and customers that includes a bowling game, golf simulator and interactive screens.
As well as housing new equipment, Arc is implementing plans to become carbon neutral as part of the move.
Arc-UK Technologies also has a facility in Bridgwater, Somerset.
