Apex Digital Graphics long-standing partnership with press supplier Ry-Offset Graphics took a leap forward at Print UK as Apex announced plans to sell Ryobis two-colour portrait-format presses, the 3302H and 3302HA.
Apex joint managing director Bernard Parker said the deal followed on from the earlier agreement under which Ry-Offset customers buying a press but also wanting a platesetter were directed towards Apex.
We found that small-format customers preferred to deal with a single company for both platesetter and press, for sales, installation and training, he said.
* Apex was also due to demonstrate the new Bourg SBM44 Signature Bookletmaker with automatic set-up, but the machine, launched at Print 01 in Chicago, could not be transported from the US in time.
