The Sutton Coldfield-based firm accessed over £120,000 of government grants earlier this year with the aid of business finance specialists Central Finance.
The grant will bolster a £1m investment plan, which includes taking on 11 additional employees across all areas of the business before March 2015.
“We’re also going to be moving into the 5-metre market, and will invest in an EFI Vutek HS100 Pro, and we’ll be moving to a new 1,394sqm premises to accommodate and create a better workflow. We’re a bit squashed in here and tend to move things around a lot just to get to machines,” said Andesign managing director Andy Williams.
Businesses in the West Midlands, specifically B2B SMEs, are currently considered favourable choices for government grants.
“It’s very exciting to be a business owner right now, especially here in the Midlands where we have so many opportunities to grow. For me, hiring more people, moving premises and growing our business is a significant achievement for us and it’s all down to grant funding,” said Williams.
The firm, which has 25 staff and serves retail design agencies and blue-chip clients including Nike, Audi, Mercedes, Aston Villa, National Express and Jaguar Land Rover, hopes to double its turnover in the next three years.
