Andy Williams, director of Andesign UK, said: "We selected the ColorPainter V-64S because it provided a more environmentally friendly printing solution, as well as being a faster and technologically more advanced machine.
"We have always been really happy with our previous ColorPainter and selecting this machine was an easy choice for us."
Sutton Coldfield-based Andesign has installed the Seiko to replace an existing five-year-old ColorPainter 64S machine at the 14-staff printer.
The machine, supplied by Colourgen, comes shortly after the company made a push to win a larger number of local and national contracts after investing in the UK's first EFI Vutek GS3200 wide-format printer.
The 1.6m entry-level, mild-solvent inkjet printer can output at speeds up to 16sqm an hour and is being pitched at digital printers producing display graphics.
It can print at resolutions up to 720dpi and features an EG-Outdoor EX mild-solvent ink set, which is claimed to have low-odour, with exceptional colour gamut and outdoor lightfastness.
Within the initial weeks of production, the company has completed work for the College of Food, as well as Perspex art prints for Aston Villa FC.
"The printer is very easy to use, reliable, fast and produces truly stunning displays. It’s a great printer and we are looking forward to getting the most out of it over the coming months," added Williams.
