The company put the two-colour Hamada B525A, single-colour AB Dick 9980 and a two-colour AB Dick 9985 into its new 1,150m2 premises on the Preston Farm Business Park in Stockton-on-Tees. The new kit has replaced Heidelberg Quickmaster and GTO equipment.
Managing director Sean Costigan said: Theres a trend for the larger quickprint shops to move away from the high street due to sheer volume of business.
He said 97% of the companys work was from business rather than high-street customers, and that staff needed to be dedicated to servicing these key clients.
On the digital side the companys equipment includes three DocuColor 12s. The firm has also installed a reconditioned DPM 2000 platesetter at its Sunderland site.
The Teesside business is the second largest UK AlphaGraphics operation and comprises sites at Stockton-on-Tees, Sunderland and an in-plant at ICI in Wilton. It employs 39 people and has a turnover in the region of 2.5m.
