Arrow Digital has already notched up 45 installations of GS6000 large-format printers since it took up the sole distributorship of the machine, two years ago.
"We are very close to the target set by the company at the start of our association with Epson for GS6000 machine in 2009," said Nazreen Wadia, support manager at Arrow Digital.
Launched at Fespa in 2008, the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 was the company’s first solvent model. The eight-colour 1.6m wide-format was positioned for copy shops, sign shops and printers looking for indoor and outdoor posters.
Wadia attributes the success of the GS6000 to the many features that this wide-format printer offered. "Quality print, speed and a wide gamut of colour. Prints from the GS6000 are water and UV resistant for up to one-and-a-half years without lamination thanks to Epson’s UltraChrome GS solvent ink, a totally green and no VOC ink, which comes in eight colours. These are some of the features that our customers were attracted to."
Besides Epson, Arrow also manages the Virtu and Gerber Solara range of wide-format printers. "Arrow has invested a great deal of time in developing a strategy to build up market share across the wide-format sector, especially in the areas of sales and services, thereby laying the foundations of future growth," said Wadia.
