Agfa launches G2 UV inks for Anapurna M-series

Agfa Graphics has launched a new formulation of inks for the Anapurna M-series hybrid printers, which offer improved flexibility on a wide range of rigid and flexible materials.

The Anapurna G2 UV inks, which will be available from June, feature an enhanced flexibility quotient, as well as many of the same properties as their predecessors in terms of durability and colour vibrancy.

According to Agfa, the increased flexibility will enable users to print onto a greater range of substrates that might need to incorporate an element of curvature when installed or which are liable to suffer from stress fatigue.

In addition, the new inks are expected to benefit outdoor media printers, such as sign-makers or display printers, as they will be able to print on to substrates that might stretch or shrink when exposed to temperature changes.

The G2 UV inks have a shelf life of 18 months and will not clog the feed, nozzles or print heads on a machine, even when it's not in use, Agfa said.
