It is available in two versions, Publish and the more powerful Production. Prices range from 20,000-35,000.
Project management software is an area where we have high hopes, said Agfa Graphics Systems director Laurence Roberts. The differentiator in the long term is not the machine at the back its the intelligence at the front how the printer manages his work.
Agfa is promising further developments for Drupa. The firm has an asset management tool called Arcadia under development.
It is also working on linking Delano to asset management and MIS software.
The commercial release of Delano has a new user interface, which addressed the feedback from beta sites.
UK beta site Wyndeham Heron has the latest version and is working on rolling it out in the new year.
Woods of Perth was the first UK printer to get the commercial release of the product and Roberts is confident that pent-up demand from firms that saw Delano at Ipex will lead to 20 installations by the middle of next year.
