The DYSS X7 cutting machine, which will cost between £50,000 and £100,000, depending on tooling configuration, has been designed to compete with the Zund and Kongsberg models. It was first introduced into the UK market in 2010 by B&P Graphics which subsequently went into administration.
DYSS was founded in 1989 to produce high-quality screen printing machines and other specialised equipment. It has since diversified into the digital print market with the Apollo UV RF260 Series and the Apollo UV Hybrid Series.
AG/CAD product manager Nick Reed said that X7 was multi-functional, fast, precise and robust enough to cope with a variety of media.
He added: "AG/CAD will be installing a demonstration model of the X7 in their office from the first week of September so customers can come and see the machine, run through what their needs are and we will provide a quotation after that.
"We will be able to demonstrate systems up to 2.6m wide, fully equipped with conveyorised bed for posters, banner and vinyl applications, and a very powerful 1KW router, oscillating knife, v knife, kiss cutting, creasing etc – it is a truly flexible system."
