Brazilian-owned Aero-Print in Aylesbury has closed its doors with the loss of 110 jobs after going into administrative receivership.
Chiltern and Thames Valley GPMU branch secretary Ian Cummings said the company had been under financial pressure.
It recorded a 145,000 pre-tax loss on sales of 6.44m for the year to 31 December 1999.
The firm specialised in airline ticket printing. Administrative receiver BDO Stoy Hayward said it had been hit by cashflow
difficulties. London-based Avia Invest Leasing, which specialises in the leasing of aircraft to major airlines, is believed to be considering a deal for the firm.
A spokeswoman for BDO Stoy Hayward said it was in negotiations with "several interested parties" over the sale of the firms assets.
The GPMU is also in dispute with the receivers over a claim for unpaid union fees of 2,000.
"This matter is being looked into, and we are keen to resolve it as soon as possible," said the spokeswoman.
