The company, part of global marketing and secure communications firm Adare Group, already had three Riso 9150 printers installed at its Huddersfield site and following a successful trial it has purchased three ComColor X1 9150s at a total cost of £100,000.
"We have been very pleased with the performance, quality, reliability and flexibility of our existing Riso printers," said managing director Barry Crich.
"Given the increasing requirement for short-run full-digital colour to be produced in a matter of hours, it made sense to further invest with Riso."
The printers, which were installed at the end of June, can produce 1,000 full-colour single-sided pages in around six and a half minutes.
"The investment provides the opportunity to offer an efficient and cost-effective way of producing quality, personalised digital short runs using cut-sheet white paper," said Crich.
"Alongside our existing continuous digital colour devices, we can offer shorter-run work with similar colour profiles, which is critical for our customers. The additional capacity will enable more work to be taken on."
The company has made continued investments in new machinery over the past 12 months to keep up with the latest technology and offer its customers added-value products.
It has also installed six Ricoh InfoPrint high-volume continuous-feed digital presses at its facility over the past year.
Adare Limited employs 275 staff at its Huddersfield site and has a turnover of £50m. The Adare Group has 900 staff and a turnover of £170m.
