Acorn Web Offset sales director John Preston has been appointed sales director of the print division of the newly-formed Trader Media Group (TMG).
Preston will oversee sales at West Yorkshire-based Acorn, Apple Web Offset in Warrington and Wiltshire in Bristol. He will be supported by Wiltshire sales director Stuart Nevins and his Apple counterpart Mike Collins.
Preston will report to TMGs print division executive board, which includes group managing director Alan Turner, financial controller Peter Poulter, company secretary Neil Terry, and the general managers of the firms three sites.
Trader Media Group was formed last month when Guardian Media Group and BC Partners merged their Auto Trader publication businesses. Preston said it had been very much business as usual since the merger. He also said TMG was close to signing up with httprint, the online print procurement service.
Acorn has completed
the purchase of a 2,000m2 building adjacent to its
main plant on Normanton Industrial Estate (PrintWeek, 14 April). Preston said there were no concrete plans as yet regarding the buildings use, but the ideal scenario would be for it to house the companys finishing equipment.
