Absolute fits first Presstek 52DI

Absolute Digital Print has installed the world's first Presstek 52DI digital imaging press and confirmed its faith in the DI process.

The Kendal, Cumbria-based firm, which was founded in 2003, has replaced a Karat 46 with the new machine.
Following the installation at the start of this month, Absolute, which has 12 staff and clients that include Reebok and The North Face, has now decided to offer stochastic screening as standard.

Director Jon Wallbank said: "It was a natural progression to upgrade from the Karat 46 portrait format press."
Wallbank said the firm was "totally committed" to Presstek's DI technology, which had "opened up a new market for us over the last two years".

He added: "Although the landscape format is more versatile, it was the increased speed and improved quality of the new press that are the most exciting developments."
