The company originally proposed to cut 80 jobs at the Aberdeenshire plant in a bid to maintain its long-term competitiveness (PrintWeek, 1 March).
Managing director David Steele said he was satisfied that the redundancies would mostly be met by volunteers, and that the losses would not affect capacity.
Scottish GPMU assistant branch secretary Willie Wallace said he hoped the redundancies would be the last at the mill.

Inverurie has a capacity of 250,000 tonnes a year and employs around 520 staff.
