3M guarantees the performance of its vinyl and overlaminate products for up to five years when used for outdoor applications.
The guarantee, which applies when using Epson's UltraChrome GS inks, will provide printers with "peace of mind", according to Rainer Schlösser, European market development manager at 3M’s Commercial Graphics Division.
"We’ve designed and engineered our media to work consistently with piezo print platforms and have put them through rigorous physical diagnostic tests to ensure they conform to 3M’s strict product specifications," added Schlösser.
Avery Dennison has also put its name to the Stylus Pro GS6000, guaranteeing its MPI range of products for three years.
Martin Johns, senior product manager at Epson UK, said: "The fact that 3M and Avery Dennison are both guaranteeing the products they produce using the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000 and UltraChrome GS Inks is a testament to the trust our industry partners have in our products."
The large format machine can print at a maximum speed of 31.5sqm an hour at banner-quality printing and 8.4sqm for photographic output. The GS6000 offers a sheet width of 1.6m and a top resolution of 1,440dpi.
