The North Tyneside-based company has appointed Ian Kings, director of recovery at Tenon in Sunderland, as administrator.
He said: "Printers Coast has gone into administration and has ceased trading following a long struggle against the current difficult trading conditions. The company had been in business for 50 years.
"Thirty-five employees have been made redundant and Tenon Recovery is actively looking to dispose of the company assets in order to achieve the best results for the company's creditors."
A spokesperson at Printers Coast previously confirmed to PrintWeek that the company had ceased trading, but would not be drawn further on the matter.
According to the company's website, it ran a six-day 24-hour shift and operated Heidelberg and Mitsubishi litho presses.
