In May 2017, the Hull-based digital printer spent £1.3m on its PrintWorks expansion, which doubled the size of its premises, after it reached full capacity, from 600sqm to 1,100sqm.
Since the launch of the PrintWorks wing, the company has experienced a 25% boost in its capacity for label printing.
“Our plan now is to keep growing the business,” said joint managing director Dennis Ebeltoft. “We have built a great capacity now to handle new work and we are actively pursuing new clients and new jobs.
“Through 2018, we hope to stay at the forefront of the digital printing push. For a few years now we have been frustrated that digital technology cannot fulfil what we want in terms of specialist processing like finishing. We think suppliers and developers are catching up now.
“People are cottoning on to what digital can offer. We anticipate significant growth in the sector over the next three to five years, involving a desire for shorter print runs and greater variety. We plan to make installations and investments to stay up on the evolving tech.”
