What did you study, and did you have a particular career in mind?
I have a degree in business management. While studying I found a passion for marketing and knew that was the career path I wanted to get into. I am enrolled with Cambridge Marketing College studying for my Level 4 marketing executive qualification
Did you know anything about print beforehand?
The most I knew about print was that it was used for marketing and communications, I have learnt so much including how significant mail is since starting at CustomerKNECT
What does your current role entail?
I run the social media pages and monitor all internal and external comms, I plan marketing campaigns and I am responsible for our internal graphics and signage, etc. I was also lucky enough to have a large responsibility in our recent rebrand, it was a huge project to jump into when I had just started
What’s the most enjoyable or interesting thing about it?
That I can express my creativity in an environment that was out of my comfort zone
What would be your dream job (print related)?
Marketing manager. I am a one-man (girl) band currently and it would be great to have a range of people and skill sets in-house
What would be your dream job (not print related)?
To own a marketing agency, or be head of marketing for a big brand like Pretty Little Thing or Coca-Cola
What’s top of your playlist at the moment?
My playlist has anything from R&B to Elvis to throwback Disney, all depends on the mood

Friends, it NEVER gets old

Instagram for sure, I am that girl who takes pics of everything

What could the printing industry be doing more of to entice young people into print?
Work experience, workshops, day in the life on socials, etc, to show young people that print is a sector with so many opportunities
